Electrical Project Engineer - Leicester

Our exciting and expanding Renewable Energy client is a leading PV and biomass heating installer, specialising in systems for commercial and industrial sites.  They are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their successful team on a permanent basis.

The Role:

The successful Electrical Project Engineer can be home based and will report directly to the Head of Projects.

This role will suit someone with experience of either Solar PV installation, Surveying, design or Project Management ideally within the Commercial sector, you will need to be ambitious and will want to establish yourself as a key member of the project team and a go to specialist in the business for PV Technical package works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Administration
• Site Survey / Technical Assessments
• Technical Package Detailed Design
• Collating & Pricing up Bills of Materials for Quotes
• Liaising with the Client & Sub-Contractors
• Site meetings
• Compliance
• Project delivery

Personal Attributes/Professional Experience required

• You will either have experience of electrical installation on large domestic or commercial projects, surveying, electrical design
• Strong understanding of AC/DC and voltage drops (No requirement to be a qualified electrician, just a good understanding will suffice)
• You will need to demonstrate that you have managed a project of some kind
• Technically minded with a full understanding of Solar Photovoltaics (desirable)
• An electrical design / install qualification (desirable)

Remuneration:

• Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
• Home Based with site visits required
• 25 days holiday plus Banks
• Company Pension Scheme
• Mileage allowance for site visits (Own vehicle required) 1-2 days per week
